Very Baad ASS!

I love the Advance Wars series & you trully did it justice with this game! I'm looking forward to a sequel. Perhaps you can come up with some amazing new units not yet seen in Advance Wars. Oh how I'd love to be able to do character art for a game like this! Great job by all involved! Keep up the great work!!!

Noticed some things people said...

I've seen a lot of comparisons to lemonade tycoon & have to say I agree. The game was fun but having those goofy little adverse elements that break up the monotony would have been great. I used to have lemonade tycoon on my cell phone & loved it, even the simple crappy cell phone game that it was. The idea of gangsters thrashing your cooky store & hiring security is a bit out there (that game nightclub ringing any bells folks?) but did add just a hint of the unpredictable element. A little more adversity & the game would have been a well deserved 10. Locations... competing neighboring stores & perhaps weather, gangsters, & maybe customer accidents, or kitchen mistakes would stir things up a bit. Hope there's a sequel in the works because this game really is a good game, & with some minor tweaks could go from the label or good game to GREAT game easily.

Yup I agree...

"LONG REVIEW AHEAD:

Graphics: Whilst there was nothing ground-breaking in terms of graphics, it was nicely done. All models were smooth and had vibrant colors. The planets' expressions really stood out and actually made me laugh. Space was, well, black as it should be. The art style was unlike anything I've ever seen and felt new and refreshing. I just wished there was a bit more color in the game, other than when you restore the planets. 9/10 - A

Sound/Music: Simply incredible. The music from each of the different planets was enough to win me over. However, when I saw how you blended them all together, I was overwhelmed. The way they flowed together was absolutely magnificent. It's just too amazing for words. One has to listen to it to comprehend its excellence. While there are hardly any sound effects, the music will keep anyone occupied. 10/10 - A+

Gameplay: The gameplay was fun and a little challenging. Some puzzles were difficult (green planet) and others weren't (blue planet), creating a nice balance. Exploring space, what a great concept. It really felt nice to see a game take a different approach to open-ended. While there isn't anything other than the five main planets, players can run around to their heart's content. Swinging around was fun, too. Spinning around and around until you gain enough momentum and - FLING! I love it. 9/10 - A

Controls: Controls felt fluent, although control in space could have used some work. Swinging around worked perfectly fine and spinning around to create momentum was executed nicely. 9/10 - A

Technicalities/Questions: Not much here, other than a few questions.

1. Was the music from each planet supposed to stop after you left or continue playing?

2. I've experienced some choppiness while approaching a planet. I'm wondering if it's the game loading or my computer sucking.

Final Note: Truly, an awe-inspiring piece of art. If you don't play this game, you're going to miss out on an epic journey. Play it, love it, enjoy it. 10/10 - A+"

I pretty much agree with everything he said. ditto for sure. Anyway this really is a great & enjoyable game & a very original approach to gameplay in all of its aspects, from the graphics, to the music, to gameplay in general this was very original & very enjoyable. I hope to see a sequel in the future or another game done like this. Very cool, very enjoyable. After playing all of the redundant crap on newgrounds (even the good crap) it's nice to see a breathe of fresh air once in a while as far as flash games go. Thesad limitation of so many flash games is that they're typically just a redone version of one of about 12 typical genres of game that are often done with flash. Nice to see something new! Keep up the great work!

If myspace quizes & surveys were fun...

I can see a good amount of work went into this. It was intrigueing & silly. I still don't understand exactly how my ability to hit the crappy home key on my crappy laptop has ANYTHING to do with my over all intelligence but hey, that's part of why this silly thing was fun. I liked it but it wasn't THAT great. Um, maybe some actual problem solving, and less myspace survey questions would have made it better. I give it a 5 though for great animation, good coding, & fun if not a little mean gameplay. LOL. Maybe I'm just to dumb to please the game. I loved the way the questiones & comments were delivered though, kind of reminded me of silly rogs like Earthbound. Good little quiz thingy though.

Very fun, very retro

It could have used some more stuff, like more power up, etc. Would have been cool if when you got shot, you split off into smaller pieces. No you wouldb't be able to control them but you'd be able to bump them & speed them up or slow them down that way. Would have made things a bit more challenging I think. Loved the retro feel of it though! ^_^

Pretty awesome.

I lack the patience at the moment to play it all the way through but the little bit I did play, I enjoyed thoroughly, even if it did make my brain meatz hurt a little. Awesome concept. I could see people paying $30-60 to play something like this on the DS or PSP. Would make a great cell phone game too.

Great game!

I think I spent some where around 2 hours trying to beat this bitch!
Ok suggestion time.
I agree on having the space bar be a deselect button. So many time I'd want to deselect but ended up sending ships to their doom! Aaaargh!
Also fog of war would be cool, with a planet type that works like an intel point basically like the com station in Starcraft. Maybe a battle carrier class that acts like a very slow moving planet for ships to orbit around. Some AI tweaks would be nice as well. Green was pretty smart but not smart enough to convert their planet types once I had pwnd all of their standard & naval stations. It got really boring at the end for me becaues I had to spend a bunch of time just wasting Defensive planets to win. It'd be far more strategic, & interesting to have random defensives turn into different types & might even allow for an underdog comeback by the AI.
Great game though! Loved it!

Thanks for the suggestions hazonku!

Cool concept

Ok, here are some minor tips for a sequel. FOLLOW THE LUMINES FORMULA! I loved how the music got louder, but maybe if you had a symphony track or maybe have done something with this one... basically make it so that the higher your score, the longer you live, the more complex the music would get. Same with the background. The flat colored background equaled suck! The further you progress, & the longer you last the more complex the background. Make the pieces themselves change color as well. Have a scrolly message drop down that says, NEXT LEVEL! COLLECT PINK, AVOID WHITE! Change up the shapes of the pieces as you progress as well. The further you get, the more they blend in with the background. How hard would it be if your crescendo became a glossy glass crescendo? Oh & if your really want to make it hard take a cue from Katamari Demacy, & make the crescendo get larger as you collect! That'd make it really hard! Fun game as it is right now, though! If you make a sequal & follow so much as half of my suggestions you're guaranteed front page!

Sounds like you got many good ideas :)

WOW

For such a retardedly simple game it sure is fun! Dammit! Doctors should seriously use this to diagnose epilepsy! I know a few epileptics that would go right into a seizure before they scored so much as 20 points on this! For those reading reviews b4 playing, don't pull a graveyard shift, stay up all morning playing flash games & then play this at 2:00PM in the afternoon! Man, my fucking eyes hurt now! LOL.

Wow, now that's AWESOME!

WOW, this game is AMAZING! I'm not saying that it's anything EPIC, but the gameplay, is so original & entertaining that it just makes it really, really fun. It's a realy fun puzzle game, that's for sure. I found it quite challenging & didn't get bored once. Maybe with some flashier backgrounds, some varying music, & a flashy GUI it would be a totally EPIC! game. As it stands now though it is only a 10. If it had some funky cool tunes, & better visuals it would be OVER 9000!
